As previously reported, Fort Reno had been closed due to some whiny bullshit about arsenic levels. Well someone called out "the man" on his lies, and the schedule for the summer line up of shows was posted today via the Fort Reno website. In even better news, your beloved Zulu Pearls will be taking the stage at the park June 26th. Shows start and end early due to noise ordinances, so get there early and hope for a pretty sunset while Zulu Pearls gives it to you at twilight.

May 28

Zulu Pearls are gracing the Black Cat with their presence Saturday. ZP will be opening the show up for some other groups, namely Brian Scary and The Shredding Tears and Exit Clov... It's gonna get sugary and 70's as fuck. I will say that these shredding tears do shred on a guitar. If you're into that then you better stick around. But obviously get there early for cher boyz. I would recommend 8:30 if you're down for the cause.

hello anyone

welcome to 2008

we played a large bash new years eve there had to be at least 200 people there. thanks a lot to the house and any of you who came out and made it one of the more memorable new year's eve experiences we've had in a while. you can obviously check out all the pictures here on the site. we'll again be compiling a video diary of the night and show, hopefully that'll be done before it's warm.

on top of that we recently had a hamburger named after us at DC9, though i don't know what's on it or if i'll get to eat one for free.

shows are being booked as we speak from now til eternity, though in march our beloved nick anderson (guitar/production) will be hitting the road with aloha. we're gonna try to squeeze our way into some shows in their vicinity so watch for that. otherwise as always check the tour section of the site.

our next show is february eve, as in january 31st with robbers on high street at DC9. we're getting to mix the first couple of songs that will make up our next record and hopefully we'll put some vinyl in the world.

here's to you. luv, zulu pearls

YO! How've you been? We've been doing just fine after our brief yet potent string of shows over the last couple weeks. Special thanks goes out to everyone who helped out and came out to any of them. If anyone has any unflattering photos of us playing they'd like to show us, send them here: zulu.pearls@gmail.com so that we can photoshop them.

THE ALBUM IS OUT AND OFFICIALLY FOR SALE! You can cop it in just about any online music store (iTunes, eMusic, Rhapsody etc.) or straight from the MERCH section or from ECA Records. You can still find our T Shirts and Pins available in the MERCH section.

Feel free to blog the shit out of the record. Let us know how you feel about it. We are planning to eventually get the entire thing up streaming on the website ASAP.

We're also working on assembling some of the footage from our recent trip for you in a video. Also working on a video for some of the songs as well.

On top of all that, we're currently working on a record we hope to be done with by sometime in the fall. It already sounds great and is a drastic change of pace from the current record.

August sucks. See you when it's over. Beat the heat 2007!

luv, Zulu Pearls

Welcome to the official Zulu Pearls web space.

Summer's coming. It's going to be hot. Namely, our first record will be released July 24 via ECA Records. We'll be playing at Rock and Roll Hotel that night with Marnie Stern to celebrate and to start throwing CD's at you. Hard.

On top of that mess, we're in the process of booking a few dates throughout June and July and putting together a short East Coast tour for early August.

Please be aware that our current "web master" (not my words), is an amateur. That being said, check back here often to get a load of the broken links, tasteless design choices and maybe even pornography that will be posted in the near future.

See you around. Love, Zulu Pearls
